GC Translations is run by me, Mrs. Graciela (Grace) Carlyle.
I was born in Argentina, studied English privately since I was 7 years old, and after finishing High School, I took the 5-year course in Translation at the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences of the National University of La Plata, obtaining my diploma (BA equivalent) as National Public (Sworn) English-Spanish Translator in December 1987.
I worked in Argentina as a part-time freelance translator since before my graduation for scientific medical associations and private clients. This, together with my family medical background, helped me obtain experience in medical subjects. Over the years, however, the range of subjects I have handled has notably broadened, having gained extensive experience in the technical and marketing fields.
I am a Chartered Linguist of the Chartered Institute of Linguists in the UK and a Member of the International Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters and a Registered Public Translator of the Supreme Court of Justice of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
With over 30 years in the Translation Services industry, I have both the qualifications and experience to deliver professional, honest and cost effective language services.
